Today we got to play what is officially Australia’s oldest golf course! Royal Bothwell I call it. It is build on a farm and has sheep wandering around which graze the fairways and maintain the course… needless to say the course isn’t in great condition but it is a unique layout and was enjoyable to play for its sheer quirkiness. It’s not often you have wire fences around the greens to keep the sheep out

Now I’ve got a few days off around Hobart before heading in the Launceston direction. I’m thinking about finding my way up to Bridport and having a hit at the new Lost Farm GC…

I’m enjoying the hospitality of the Tasmanian’s now and will be for a bit over a week as I play the Tasmanian circuit. I have some fantastic billets here in Hobart (thanks guys!) and look forwards to playing a few new courses.

On Tuesday we get to play what is officially the oldest course in Australia, the Bothwell GC. It is built on a sheep farm and the sheep are still there! They have fences around the greens to keep them off and hay bails are used as hazards
