Mizuno Open 2009- 2nd Round

It’s been a rough couple of weeks on the course. To say I’m disappointed with my results is an understatement. I’m doing some good things out there but not often enough and the results are showing the inconsistency. It’s time to go home, sort my head out, start again and get ready for the next trip. I feel some good golf is just around the corner.

A re-rank occurs after this event. Given my slow start to the season I shouldn’t move to many places from my current rank.

Swing changes (19.06.09)

I didn’t waste much time with this one. These clips are footage of my new stance position and footwork. I worked on getting rid of my pigeon toe setup so the left foot can roll to the inside through impact which should greatly improve my left hip action on the way down.

That’s enough… now it’s time for a swing change. My ball striking sucks. I’m going to turn my toes outwards. No more pigeon toed setup! 😉 I’ll work on it and go to the Mizuno Open from there.

Henry and I will head to Tokyo for a couple days and then head down to Osaka for the Mizuno Open on Monday.

UBS Japan Golf Tour Championship – 2nd Round

It’s impressive how good these courses have all been so far on the Japan Tour. Shishido Hills Country Club, well, it’s no exception. The course measures around 7300 yards and plays as a par 71. It weaves amongst the mountains and is in immaculate condition, each hole finishing off with a severely undulating green. You should be pleased with under par rounds around this setup.
