Riverlakes Pro Am (QLD)

T34 Nathan Uebergang QLD (+4) 74

Results

If any of you have played Riverlakes before, it’s not good going left on that 10th hole. It’s an easy way of racking up an 8 and slowing down the day.

I’ll have a little break before coming back for the Brisbane pro-ams at the high quality golf clubs (Virginia, Royal Queensland, Indooroopilly and Brisbane).

Asian Tour International – Final Round

T37 Nathan UEBERGANG (-4) 70 69 70 71

I certainly had my chances to make an early move up the leaderboard today. I stumped it on the first three holes, hitting every shot inside 5ft but I missed them all. The frustration probably stayed with me as I dropped out to +4 after 8 holes. But I regrouped and finished the remaining holes strong, getting back to even par for the day.

So four days of colourful scorecards. 24 birdies, thirteen hazards and a lost ball.

I feel I did some fantastic things this week. My putting and wedge game are absolutely superb. I’ve never wedged it so good. It’s a combination of the pure fairways and really dialing in my swing.
Unfortunately my ball striking with the long clubs was very poor and it hurt me a lot off the tee. I’ll have to keep working at it. So some areas of the game are working great and others just ordinary. Hence the crazy up and down score cards.

All in all I’m very happy to have bounced back and finish off the event strongly. It was good to be able to play an event overseas before the Japanese season starts up in April.

Asian Tour School 1st Stage – 4th Round

69 (-3) to finish +1 total. So that will miss out on going to final stage by a few shots.

I played solid golf today. Turned it around after a poor effort yesterday. Just needed a few little putts to drop, but not to be. Close, but yet so far.

Asian Tour School 1st Stage – 3rd Round

77 (+5). Ouch. I hit it so bad I didn’t deserve much more than that. Getting a ball stuck up in the coconut trees doesn’t help 🙂

I’ll need something special tomorrow to get in the top 15%.

But it’s time to go relax down in the water. We’ve got a great pool and little beach here at the Sutera resort. The water is so warm, it’s fantastic.

Asian Tour School 1st Stage – 2nd Round

70 (-2). That should edge me up a few places. One eagle (on the 18th), two birdies and two bogeys.

Asian Tour School 1st Stage – 1st Round

Gee, ended up with a 73 (+1).

I woke up with a customary migraine and was vomiting in the morning. Felt absolutely terrible and draged my body around today. I was just happy to get through 18 holes and keep myself in it. Time to get some good sleep and freshen up for a 6:45am tee time tomorrow.

Singapore Open – 2nd Round Completion

Bahh. Bogeyed the par 5 4th, then hit it in the rough on the 5th, and that was it. Played the last 6 holes this morning 5 over. Finish on +12 total to MC.

Singapore Open – 2nd Round

Currently +5 through 12 holes for a +7 total. Had a storm delay after just 3 holes of play today. I’m striking it really well, but not capitalizing because of poor short game and putting.

The equation for tomorrow is quite simple. I will need two birdies in my remaining 6 holes to make the cut. The par 5, 4th will be my starting hole.

Most enjoyable aspect so far: hitting great shots in front of the crowds. The crowds are great.

Singapore Open – 1st Round

What a blast! I really enjoyed being out there today. 73 (+2) was the end result of a round that included 5 birdies.

The 18 will stick in my mind for a while….. clubhouse and corporate grandstands encasing the two greens…… I smoked a 3 wood into the 18th which landed centre of the green and just rolled through the back…… then you have Els and Cabrera putting out beside us on 9….. just awesome.

The atmosphere is great.
