After a slow start where I was +3 through my first seven, I went nuts coming home playing the last eleven holes -8! It’s one of the best runs I’ve had in a long time and it’s a nice way to earn a win.
Anyway, it makes taking the first week of uni off to play/work worthwhile.

Bugger! Just missed the cut. On a golf course that suits me to a tee it’s frustrating when the game feels like it’s just warming up.
Uni starts again next week so it’s doubly frustrating… *smirk*

Ok, sweet! There were 15 spots and I finished tied 10th. So in the end I had to go into an 8 way play-off for the last 6 spots. That was a bit annoying after I was cruising at -4 through the first 8 holes but struggled with the putter coming in.
Anyway, I’m really pleased to be playing in this event at the City GC in Toowoomba as I know the course quite well and feel it suits my game. It’s going to be a good challenge and it’s cool to have one more event before 2nd year uni starts 🙂

A missed cut is disapointing as I felt I should have scored a lot better (as would many guys out there, I’m sure).
Gee that Creswick track is a doosy! For the Queenslanders following, it’s very much like Brookwater except the fairways don’t slope towards the middle… they slope to the side!
I think Ballart will be a great host for the Vic PGA in the years to come and the Creswick Golf Club will mature nicely over the next couple years too.

Sweet, I qualified! It been ages since I’ve played an Aus Tour event so I’m really looking forward to this week. The game just keeps feeling better and better.

That ends what was a pretty good trip in Tasmania. I thoroughly enjoyed my first trip to Tas for their pro-ams.
