Australasian Tour School Final Stage – 3rd Round

68 (-4) to move to T24.

A very long day for all the players. Over 12 hours at the course.

I got in 1 hole before the first storm delay. I made a poor double straight away (headless) but I recovered the two shots through to the 13th hole where we had another storm delay. When we got back out there four straight birdies helped me move up the leaderboard.

Australasian Tour School Final Stage – 2nd Round

73 (+1) to stay T51. Tomorrow I will be paired with 1999 Australian Masters Champion, Craig Spence. I still remember that 6 iron he fired into 3 feet on the 72nd hole to beat Norman by a shot.

Australasian Tour School Final Stage – 1st Round

75 (+3) to be T51. Had a rough start, 5 over through 5, but clawed a couple back.

Australasian Tour School Final Stage – Peninsula GC

The final stage gets underway tomorrow at what is a fantastic venue, Peninsula North Course. I love the course. It has such a great blend of short and long holes which can play very differently in the different winds. There are a lot of risk reward options off the tee. The greens are going to be very quick, so it will be a good test and great fun.

Australasian Tour School 1st Stage – 3rd Round

71 (-1) today to finish -3 total and tied 1st! So got the job done and happy to finish atop of the leaderboard at first stage.

it gives me a little boost before heading over to the Asian Tour School in a couple weeks time.

Australasian Tour School 1st Stage – 2nd Round

72 (even) today. 1 birdie, 1 bogey, steady golf. Should keep me up near the top going into the third and final round.

Australasian Tour School 1st Stage – 1st Round

70 (-2) to be tied 1st. Good start in trying conditions.

Considering yesterday was 37*C, Melbourne produced its notorious weather shift, with rain and wind greeting the field in ~14*C temperatues.

Australasian Tour School Scores

MasterCard Masters Monday-qualifier

76 today, so no joy at Ranfurlie GC.

I now look forwards to Australian Tour School 1st Stage on Wednesday.

Preparing for Australasian and Asian Tour Schools

It’s that time of year, playing to find out what next year might bring. I’m now finalizing my preparation for the upcoming Australasian and Asian Tour Schools.

On Sunday, I am heading down for the Australian Masters monday-qualifying in Melbourne. There are 4 spots available. If I qualify I obviously get to play the Aus Masters but I’d also get to skip the Australasian Tour School 1st Stage (21-23 Nov) as it clashes with the Masters (22-25 Nov). A nice double bonus!

If I don’t qualify for the Aus Masters I will obviously be teeing it up at Australian Tour School 1st Stage at Ranfurlie G.C. on Wednesday.

After the trip to Melbourne I will then be preparing for the Asian Tour School 1st Stage (5-8 Dec). The Final Stage is the following week (12-15 Dec).

It will then be a quick trip back from Malaysia to make it in time for the Australasian Tour School Final Stage (18-21 Dec).
