Game feels back on track. Plenty of good rounds to come…
We’ve got three days off now. Then it’s 11 rounds in 12 days, including two divisional pro-ams ($25,000+). Besides the prize money, why are divisionals important? Winning a divisional would put me up into one of the higher pro-am categories which would literally guarantee me starts in the bigger pro-ams later in the season.
On another note: after 7 years with my beloved Odyssey Dual Force 770 (blade style putter) I am thinking of moving to something new. It’s been pushing its luck lately. I have convinced myself it’s time to move away from a putter that is so toe heavy and start looking for a more face balanced putter soon. The old love has got to go…. based on physics that is… not some irrational golfers crazy emotions 😆

Things felt a lot better today and it was nice to get the ball rolling in SA. It was tough day for scoring in the gail winds. A couple of rough breaks and it was easy to make a high score. All it takes is mother nature and BAM! scores go up.

South Australia swing of events
This should be fun! Plenty of pro-ams, plenty of good golf courses…. great combination for some good golf.
The swing of pro-ams kick off on the 28th March at Kooyonga GC (which has hosted five Aus Open Championships) and finishes at Flagstaff Hill GC on the 18th April. After those I get to spend a few days at Murray Bridge with the cousins and Co. before heading down to Mount Gambia for my first Von Nida event as a professional, the OG Roberts South Australian PGA Championship. I look forward to that one 😉 .

Ahhh, what a disapointing finish considering I was at -13 during the third round. Overall a good week though. Audi and Royal Pines ran a great tournament which made it a very enjoyable week for my 4Ball partner Gerry and I.
